Conversion and extension of theChateau de la Hourra ta create an eco constructlon centre for the department of the Gers.
The restructuring of the Château de la Hourre consists of the demolition of ail the existing floors in poor condition. New timber floors Will be laid ta accommodate offices and meeting rooms. The conversion also includes an extension on the north facade for horizontal and vertical distribution withln the château, faced with half-timbered glazed walls. The extension replaces a silo building. The new building which houses the workshops, will consist of a concrete structure on the ground floor and a timber structure on the first floor, assembled around a courtyard illumlnated by a glass roof. The facades are timber-framed walls, coated with a gabion cladding.
