The Old Library landmark site is being demolished to make way for 2 new hotels in a 10 storey, 10,622 m² building beside a 6 storey 5,000 m² residential block.
The complex will comprise 2 buildings: one with a new 236 bedroom Moxy Hotel on the lower floors with small stylish rooms and a Residence Inn with larger long stay rooms on the upper floors. The second will provide 64 one & two-bedroom residential apartments over 5 storeys. The 370 m² ground floor of independent restaurants, retail and leisure spaces facing Slough High Street will be open to both residents and non-residents.
The project is part of a substantial regeneration drive by the Slough Urban Regeneration Company.
