This project, located at 59-61, Rue de Buzenval in Paris (postcode 75020), provides for the construction of an innovative hotel establishment halfway between a hotel and a youth hostel. Within the accommodation function, there will be various adjoining reception areas, primarily located on the upper terrace – Rooftop, on the ground floor – Bar, as well as in the basement.
The hostel will incorporate 32 rooms, on floors 1 to 4. The ground floor will include a large number of facilities including the hotel entrance, the Bar, a coffee area, a co-working kitchen, a cycle workshop / space for parking 2-wheelers, access to social spaces and other service areas.
The project has 6 storeys above ground and 1 basement level.
The superstructure will incorporate timber floors and reinforced concrete floors. The substructure will be constructed of reinforced concrete.
A project with a very restricted storey height, requiring a timber floor designed to be as thin as possible despite the acoustic requirements (32 cm in total), and without downstand beams in the rooms.
