Construction of a 4th school complex in Castelnau-le-Lez in the Hérault département, which will ultimately comprise 5 nursery classes and 11 primary school classes.

The building will also incorporate:

– Spaces devoted to leisure and extracurricular activities,

– An outdoor play area,

– The school canteen,

– A gymnasium,

– Spaces reserved for the schools inspectorate,

– Spaces devoted to logistics, upkeep and maintenance.

This scheme incorporates the use of bio-based materials: timber structure, and straw bale insulation. Its solid stone base affords the structure permanence and strength.

The project is enclosed by a hewn stone perimeter wall that provides safe spaces for children. Energy and environmental performance level E3C1.
