Montreuil’s town centre comprises medium and large retail premises (11,600 m²), a car park (5,000 m²), housing and student halls of residence (14,300 m²), a 1120-seat six screen cinema (“Le Georges Méliès”), as well as a 60-place crèche and childcare centre (1100 m²). Thus a true town centre is coming into being around the town hall district, becoming a shopping and cultural area, with its many pedestrian zones, bus stops and metro terminus.
