5 Medium rise office buildings and a staff canteen with a deep basement excavation at the base of a steep slope on the banks of the river Seine. The office buildings are generally 6 stories high with a garden level and 2 waterproofed basements. The construction methodology was designed to avoid slip circle instability and consists of simple beam column structure with precast concrete slabs. The structure sits on a raft foundation supported by piles, which also work in shear. The hillside contains numerous water tables thus the work involved monitoring the hillside profile. A geotechnical survey was carried out and planted roofs were created to blend with the landscape. The company GEMALTO, worldwide leader for electronic chips, now occupy 3 of the buildings.
