MUSEUM OF ETHNOGRAPHY
Highlighted on the cover of the December edition of the « Les Cahiers Techniques du Bâtiment », a particularly elegant and spectacular building by the agency IF Architecture in Toulouse (JM Pettes architect): the headquarters of the Communauté de Communes Sidobre-Val d’Agout in the commune of Le Bez in The Tarn (81).
The structural concept (steel) was designed and developed by the Terrell Toulouse team.
The building was designed and optimized to obtain a reduced floor and roof edge thicknesses so that the interior space remains as open as possible.
The combined talents of the architect and the Terrell team, has enabled such an architectural and technical success for this building which was designed in spired by a well-known local landscape feature “the Peyro Clavado”, an enormous granite rock balanced on a miniscule base.
FUTURE M2 TOWER IN PARIS-LA DÉFENSE
Structural Studies for the future 170 m high M2 Tower in La Défense, designed by VALODE PISTRE & Associates, have been awarded to TERRELL by Generali RE and HINES.
With 49,000m2 of floor space and a silhouette of great purity, the M2 Tower represents another prestigious technical design reference for the TERRELL Group after Aviva’s Carpe Diem Tower (structure and facades), the 135,000m2 190m² high Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, the facades of the Rabat Telecom Tower in Morocco, the rehabilitation of TCE Galliéni in Bagnolet, the Flint Tower in Lyon and the T1 in La Défense, etc.

DULWICH COLLEGE, MYANMAR (EX-BURMA)
Schematic and Detail Design of Building Services for a Secondary School in Myanmar (ex Burma).
The TERRELL MEP team was awarded the complete the Building Services (MEP) studies (HVAC & smoke extraction, plumbing, LV & ELV electrical currents) of Dulwich College in Yangon, Myanmar. This 42,000 m2 operation is led by the Marseille office of Tangram Architects. The technical challenges of the project lie in the treatment of the classrooms by hybrid ventilation (natural ventilation + local terminals in order to limit energy consumption). The air treatment of the buildings was the subject of simulations and calculations using Design Builder and Urba Wind software. The challenge in terms of time is particularly strong: Schematic Design in 4 weeks and delivery of the Detail Design for the end of October; with a start date of July 10th, the period of studies is reduced to 3.5 months: a challenge that Terrell teams will meet!
The REVIT model for the restructuring of 55,000 m² in the Ségur Ilot building (Paris 7th arrondissement). On behalf of Sogelym engineering, Terrell is carrying out the structural design using BIM with architects Cabinet Braun and within a group comprising CBC and Dalkia. 12 months of studies and 36 months of work will be necessary to deliver this project of approximately 2,300 workstations, a 450-seat auditorium, a series of 1 450 cutlery, a crèche, gym and parking on two basement levels.
End user: The services of the Prime Minister.
The complex will be labelled “BBC Effinergie rénovation”, and certified “NF tertiary buildings”, for renovated buildings, category II.
Naomi Brass, structural engineer and BIM correspondent at TERRELL participated in the breakfast debate on the subject of Building Information Modelling (BIM) which was held on Friday 21st March in the offices of the group Moniteur in Paris, where the first edition of the BIM Trophies was launched.
